Attendance Registration Agreement
Australian Cyber Conference Canberra 2020 (Conference)

1. PARTIES
1.1 Australian Information Security Association (AISA) Limited. ABN 181 719 35 959. Address: Level 8, 65 York Street, Sydney, NSW. 2000. Australia; and
1.2 Registrant: An individual in their private capacity.
2. CONFERENCE HOSTING
2.1 AISA has entered into an agreement with a third party service provider that will provide the conference venue, and various facilities and services (Conference Hosting Service Provider). The terms of this Agreement are subject to the terms and conditions of the Conference Hosting Service Provider and any applicable laws and regulations. The Registrant agrees to comply with the Service Provider terms and conditions regulating Registrant access to and use of its conference venue, facilities services, all of which are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.
3. CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT
3.1 AISA has engaged Conference Logistics (Conlog). Address: 14/1 Pirie Street, Fyshwick ACT 2609. Australia to manage the hosting and operational aspects of CyberCon2020. All communications and queries are to be directed by email: cybercon@conlog.com.au.
4. TERMS OF REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE
4.1 Online Registration Portal
Registration takes place on a first-come-first-served basis at CyberCon2020 (Conference Website). The AISA Legal Notices, including the Privacy Statement, apply to the Conference registration, electronic transactions and communications, and are incorporated into this Agreement by reference.
4.2 AISA Code of Ethics and Conference Behaviour Rules
The AISA Code of Ethics and Conference Behaviour Rules (Ethics and Rules) are incorporated into this Agreement by reference and apply to all Registrants, whether they are AISA Members or not, and to all attendees, including staff and third parties. Attendees who do not comply with AISA Ethics and Rules may be asked to leave. Registrants who are asked to leave due to a breach of the AISA Ethics and Rules agree to do so immediately. No refund will be made under these circumstances.
4.3 Prices, Registration and Payment
Prices for attendance are published on the Conference Website and may be subject to change from time to time. It is the responsibility of the Registrant to ensure that they understand and agree to the relevant pricing (early-bird, standard, member, staff, day only, conference dinner etc.). Registration is subject to full payment being made no later than 21 business days after online registration. Registration is not complete until confirmed by AISA.
4.4 Changes to the Conference and Cancellations
It may be necessary for reasons beyond the control of AISA (including, but not limited to force majeure events), to alter the advertised content, advertised speakers, AISA partners, AISA sponsors, timing, programme and/or location of the Conference. AISA reserves the right to do this at any time, in which case AISA will provide Registrants with reasonable notice of changes. Subject to 4.6 below, Registrants agree and acknowledge that refunds and/or cancellations will not be provided for reasons beyond the control of AISA.
4.5 Substitutions
If a Registrant is unable to attend the Conference, a substitute delegate may attend in the Registrant's stead. Substitution can be arranged at any time, including onsite, by contacting the Events Manager. Each substitution is subject to an administration fee of AU$100 (one hundred Australian Dollars).
4.6 Refunds
Where a Registrant is unable to attend and is not in a position to substitute registration to another person, the following refunds apply:
- Registrations cancelled up until and including Monday 9 March 2020: Full refund of registration fee less AU$100 (one hundred Australian Dollars) administration fee;
- Registrations cancelled between Tuesday 10 March 2020 through to and including Monday 6 April 2020: 50% refund of registration fee less AU$100 (one hundred Australian Dollars) administration fee; and
- Registrations cancelled after Monday 6 April 2020: No refund.
No refunds apply for non-attendance.
4.7 Registrant Passes and Photo ID
Registrant passes issued for the Conference are valid for named Registrants only and cannot be transferred unless clause 4.5 applies. A government, state or company issued photo identity document is required to be presented on registration, and where reasonably requested by AISA representative, Events Manager personnel, and/or law enforcement. Attendees who are unable to provide identification which matches their delegate pass may be asked to leave. Registrants who are asked to leave under these circumstances agree to do so immediately. No refund will be made under these circumstances.
4.8 Conference Specific Software Applications
AISA has entered into an agreement with a third party, which may/may not be the Events Manager to provide Conference-specific software applications for the purpose of monitoring attendance of the Conference, programme, including the Conference streams, speaker sessions, training ets. in order to assist AISA, AISA sponsors and AISA partners to better engage with attendees for sales, marketing purposes, networking and other purposes related to the purposes and mission of AISA generally. On registration, each Registrant will be provided with a bar-coded identity tag, which when scanned will provide the Registrant's details to the AISA, AISA sponsors and AISA partners, and the Events Manager. Each Registrant may consent or refuse to have the bar-coded identity tag scanned. AISA and the Event Manager will process all personal information in accordance with AISA’s Privacy Statement. AISA cannot and will not be responsible for personal information that a Registrant consents to disclose to Sponsors, Partners or any Conference attendee. Details shared via scanning include, but not limited to; First name, last name, job title, organisation, primary email address, phone number, city, state and country.
4.9 Liability
Registrants acknowledge and agree that AISA’s liability, whether such liability arises in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind howsoever arising, out of in connection with Registration and/or attendance by Registrants or otherwise in relation to the Conference, shall be limited to the price paid by a Registrant when registering.
4.10 Changes to This Agreement
AISA reserves the right to change the terms of this Agreement at any time should AISA in its sole discretion deem it necessary to do so. In the event of the Agreement being amended or varied in any way, the version applicable at the time of Registration is the version that will apply to each registration.
4.11 Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement, and supersedes any prior contract, arrangement or understanding, between AISA and the Registrant in relation to the subject matter of this Agreement.
4.12 Severability of Provisions
Any provision of this Agreement which is prohibited or unenforceable in any jurisdiction is ineffective as to that jurisdiction to the extent of the prohibition or unenforceability but does not invalidate the remaining provisions of this Agreement nor affect the validity or enforceability of that provision in any other jurisdiction.
4.13 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by the Law of New South Wales. The Courts of New South Wales are the agreed forum and have territorial jurisdiction.
4.14 Photography
The Conference proceedings, including the Conference program, social events and networking will be attended and recorded by various media, in addition to all other Conference attendees. By attending the Conference, you consent to AISA, any attendee, including but not limited to media representatives, AISA, AISA sponsors, AISA partners, and the Events Manager capturing your image at the Conference, (including social and networking events), and publishing all or any images relating to the Conference on public or proprietary on- and off-line materials. You agree to imagery so captured to be used for commercial purposes in connection with AISA and promoting future AISA events.
